We’re celebrating in 2023 and you’re invited!
Our plan is to celebrate our Centenary throughout the whole of 2023, so every guest visiting Kandersteg International Scout Centre during the year will know it’s a special year.
The celebrations will include an official opening of the year, a weekend for members of the KISC Association, the Kander 100 Jamboree, an ex-staff reunion, and an event to mark the end of the year

The highlight of 2023 will be Kander100; a Jamboree during Summer, welcoming thousands of Scouts and Guides from all over the world to have the time of their life. This event will also include celebrations of the Swiss National Day on 1 August as well as a link to the 25th World Scout Jamboree, which will be held in South Korea.
I have heard many enthusiastic stories about our World Scout Centre in Kandersteg. It is heart-warming to hear how so many Scouts are enjoying the international atmosphere, meeting friends for life, while enjoying the beauty of the Swiss Alps with its adventurous challenges. The programme is a wonderful proof of Scouting’s values and its vital importance in today’s world. I am truly looking forward to being part of the celebrations in 2023!
Throughout the year, we will gather in Kandersteg to celebrate 100 years of inspiring young people to create a better world.
Our vision is that the centenary will be the beginning of the next 100 years with Baden-Powell’s dream of a Permanent Mini Jamboree.
