The overall aim of the 2023 KISC Centenary Project is to raise CHF 6,500,000,– and this amount is made up as follows:
We are looking for support from those who are inspired to take charge of funding an entire project or who are willing to provide partial funding. To date KISC has secured 10% of the total investment. We ask you to support us further with the 2023 KISC Centenary Project.
As a non-profit organisation, KISC is entirely dependent on donations to maintain and enhance the Centre’s ten individual buildings.
In 2023, KISC is not just celebrating 100 years of a Scout Centre in the Swiss Alps, but 100 years of inspiring young people to create a better world.
The heart and soul of KISC is to empower and educate young people through fun activities and inspiring workshops.
With ten buildings across 17 hectares of land, the Centre can accommodate over 350 guests indoors and more than 1,200 people on our campsite.
“Kandersteg International Scout Centre has achieved a lot and done great work during its 100 years of existence. In the region, it is associated with tourism, the mountains and railway history; Internationally, as the World Scout Centre, it has become a meeting place for thousands of young people from all cultures around the world. I look forward to the birthday celebration in 2023 and wish KISC a continued successful future!”
Throughout the year, we will gather in Kandersteg to celebrate 100 years of inspiring young people to create a better world.
Our vision is that the centenary will be the beginning of the next 100 years with Baden-Powell’s dream of a Permanent Mini Jamboree.
Kandersteg International Scout Centre has been run by volunteers since 1923. Join the team that creates lifelong memories.
